So many times I have had my picture taken by a photographer who doesn't give you any directions. I'm not a model and really have no idea what I am doing when you put me in front of a camera. Ian puts a person at ease during a shoot. He laughs and jokes with you, has plenty of ideas, gives directions on exactly what he'd like to see done and yet is willing to listen to any ideas that you might have (if you're one of those creative types). To me that is the mark of a good photographer, connecting with the subject and bringing out the best in them in order to create a stunning image in the end, and Ian is able to do that.

Ian Pouliot has taken pictures of my son, who has autism, and is very hard to photograph. Ian got some really great candid shots which captured my son's many moods beautifully.
